Cardboard, Brown Paper Bags, Telephone Books, Cereal and Tissue Boxes
The bins are labeled for each item. Aluminum cans are recycled in the Blue Containers provided.
Looking to recyle appliances or paint? You can bring your old appliances and paint to the Portage County Recycle Center located at 3588 Mogadore Rd. in Brimfield Township. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They also take all reusable paint and blend it into new recycled paint for use by local charities, non-profit organizations and residents. Appliances can also be dropped off for recycling during normal business hours. Refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers and other appliances are baled and sold. A five-dollar ($5.00) charge applies only to appliances that contain freon.
