The Canaan Township Board of Trustees is accepting sealed bids for unit pricing for maintenance of roads in the township using various surface applications. The selected bidder will coordinate with the township trustees to choose the best and appropriate applications. Sealed bids must be received by noon on April 9, 2012 and mailed or delivered to Canaan Township, 2170 State Route 95, Edison, OH, 43320. Sealed bids will be opened during the regular monthly meeting at the above location at 8:00 PM on April 9, 2012. Bidders may be present at opening. The township trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids. All bids must include prevailing wage. Proof of insurance is required upon contract issuance.

News Release
The Canaan Township Board of Trustees recently elected officers for 2012. Chairman is John Bayles. Vice-Chairman is Billie Pangborn. Trustee Ed Sayers is the third trustee. John Bayles will continue to be the representative for 1st Consolidated Fire District. Billie Pangborn will continue as the representative for Regional Planning. Billie Pangborn will also continue as representative to the Iberia Volunteer Fire Company Dependents' Fund Board. Fiscal Officer Deana Detwiler will continue to serve on the Morrow County Zoning Board.

All meetings of the Canaan Township Board of Trustees will continue to be held the second Monday of each month at 7:30 PM at the township office building, 2170 State Route 95, near Denmark. All interested area residents are always invited to attend. Any changes in meeting times will be posted on the bulletin board outside the door of the township office.

Township Building Available to Canaan Township Groups
The township office building is available to township residents wishing a place for a meeting of a club, group, or family get-together. The building will accommodate approximately 30-35 people, and there are limited facilities for preparation of light refreshments. There is no charge to township residents for the use of the facility.
