The Stillwater Watershed Project

Watershed Facts:

  • The Stillwater River Watershed drains 673 square miles of land.
  • The Stillwater River and Greenville Creek are one of Ohio's State Scenic Rivers.
  • It offers some of the best smallmouth bass fishing.
  • The Stillwater drains into the Great Miami River with the confluence in Dayton, Ohio.
  • The main channel of the Stillwater is 67 miles long with 226 miles of tributaries.
  • The project has an EPA approved Watershed Action Plan in place.

  • Woodland - 5%
  • Pasture - 4%
  • Urban/other - 11%
