Ohio Township Administrators Network (OTAN)

Ohio Township Administrators Network (OTAN) is a group of professional township administrators dedicated to enhancing township management and professional development. OTAN meets periodically to discuss timely issues, share information and network with other professionals. The Center for Public Management and Regional Affairs (CPMRA) at Miami University has been designated as the official secretariat to support programming, information sharing, and other issues of interest for Ohio Township Administrators. As part of the Ohio Township Association and the CPMRA-Miami University Cooperative Agreement signed in 1995, the Center maintains the OTAN Web site as one means of support for OTAN.

2007 OTA and OTAN Membership
Membership into OTAN is contingent upon an administrator's membership in the Ohio Township Association (OTA). All administrators are encouraged to sign up as an associate member of the OTA, which grants a person full membership privileges in the OTA and OTAN. For a complete list of 2007 administrators that are members of OTAN and OTA, please click here.

2007 OTAN Fall Forum

The 2007 OTAN Fall Forum will be held on Friday, October 12 at the offices of the OTA. The cost for the Forum is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. Registration deadline is Monday, October 8. Should you have any questions about the forum, please contact Heidi Fought in the OTA office.

Welcome New Administrators

We have several new administrators that have recently come on board.  They are:

Jason Loree, Boardman Township/Mahoning County - replaced Mike Villano

Julie Laughlin, Hilliar Township/Knox County - newly created position

Millie Wasinger, Ross Township/Butler County - newly created position

Leslie Kohli, Springfield Township/Lucas County - replaced Bob Anderson

Looking for Feedback

The OTA would like to start a column in the "Ohio Township News" pertaining to administrators and the role they play or the advantages of having an administrator.  We would also like to start a monthly or bi-monthly newsletter for administrators that would highlight different townships across the state with administrators.  Would this type of publication be beneficial to you? Would you be interested in writing an article?

We would also like to plan a panel at the Winter Conference that would be beneficial to all townships. What type of workshop would administrators like to see at the 2008 Winter Conference?

Comments? Suggestions? Please e-mail Heidi Fought.
